How high will the ceiling fan be in the room?
The ceiling height in a room definitely matters with ceiling fans. It will decide whether the room needs a flush-mounted ceiling fan or if they are enough enough, you can get a rod-mounted ceiling fan.
• If you have high ceilings you have the option to hang your ceiling fan off something called a a down-rod.

Outdoor ceiling fans need to be outdoor rated.
If your ceiling fan is going outside, then make sure it says outdoor rated on the box. Otherwise, the ceiling fan it will not last as long as it should.
